Our Art High School Prep is ideal for students looking to apply to specialized art high schools, such as LaGuardia High School, Frank Sinatra School of The Arts High School, High School of Art&Design, Edward R. Murrow School Art Program.
For admission to specialized art high schools, it is crucial to show drawing skills, some understanding of art fundamentals, and creativity in your portfolio. In our Art High School Prep course, students build a strong foundation through projects tailored to their experience level. Students also develop creative thinking and visualization skills while exploring a variety of art subjects and mediums.
Combined with our personalized, one-to-one instruction, students build strong portfolios sought by competitive art schools and colleges like RISD, MICA, SCAD, Pratt Institute, SVA, Parsons School of Design (The New School), and more.

Class Format
Each class is 3 hours long and can be in-person or online.
Throughout the class, the instructor makes rounds to give personalized guidance to each student on their individual projects.
We maintain small class sizes with an average student-teacher ratio of 6 to 1 to optimize the learning experience and portfolio development process.
