Portfolio Preparation Certificate Tracks

Visual Arts Enrichment

The track provides introductory-level visual arts classes, perfect for exploring the basics across various subjects. It’s ideal for students with no prior art experience who wish to cultivate their interest as a hobby, without the intention of applying to college, art schools, or universities.

Core Portfolio Prep

This track offers two options: Undergraduate Level and Graduate Level, designed for students looking to build art portfolios for their own objectives.
  • Undergraduate Level: Suitable for students aiming to create an art/design portfolio for applications to art colleges or other purposes requiring a portfolio at an equivalent level.
  • Graduate Level: Tailored for students preparing a portfolio for admission to a Master's degree in an art program or for other equivalent portfolio requirements.

Practices and Critique

This track focuses on preparing students for the art/design field with the professional strategies and practices in the art and design field. Classes emphasize critique, discussions, and further work development to help students understand the realities of living as an artist and managing a creative life outside of school.

* To enroll in the Practices and Critique track, students must have completed a minimum of two quarters in the Core Portfolio Prep track and apply for this track separately. Those who meet the qualifications and criteria will be accepted.
