• It must be in English.
• It must be in USD.
• It must have been issued within the past 90 days.
• A minimum balance of $30,000 USD is required for Core Portfolio Prep Tracks, and $20,000 USD for Visual Arts Enrichment or Practices and Critique.

Payment Requirements

Students are responsible for making full or partial payment for their enrolled program before the deadlines set by ISAD (New York Art Studio). The required payments include:

• Application Fee: $150 (Non-refundable)
• Commitment Deposit: $300 (Non-refundable)
  • This deposit is required to initiate the I-20 document process.
  • The Commitment Deposit will be applied toward your tuition in the first quarter of the program.
  • Full Tuition Payment: Due 30 days before the program start date.
  • Change of Status Application Fee: $500 (Non-refundable)

Non-Refundable Fees:

• Application Fee ($150)
• Commitment Deposit ($300)
• Any other processing fees

Refunds:

• If your I-20 has already been issued:
  • Before arrival in the USA: 80% of your tuition will be refunded.
  • After arrival in the USA: Tuition is non-refundable if cancellation occurs within two weeks from the program start date.
• If your I-20 has not been issued and the transfer process has already started:
  • Cancellation of the transfer process (in or out) will be subject to a non-refundable $150 application fee and a $300 commitment deposit.

Refund Process:

• Refunds may take approximately 30 days to process.
• The original I-20 document must be returned before a refund is issued.

Late Registration:

• There is no refund or make-up class period for late registration.

Late Payments:

• Any outstanding or late payments will incur a late fee of $30 for each 10-day period the payment remains unpaid.

VISA Denial:

If your visa application is denied, your tuition will be refunded upon receipt of a copy of the rejection letter. However, the following fees will not be refunded:

• Application Fee: $150
• Commitment Deposit: $300

Additionally, any processing fees incurred during the refund process (such as bank wire fees or mailing fees) will be deducted from the refund amount.

I agree to the following:

• Adhere to my assigned schedule and attend all classes on time.
• Notify the school at least 48 hours prior to any absence. Absences or tardiness not properly notified will not be made up or credited.
• Reschedule missed classes in accordance with ISAD rules and regulations. Make-up classes must be completed within the registration period.
• Be prepared for class with all required materials and assignments.
• Behave respectfully and professionally towards all members of the learning community, including faculty, staff, and fellow students.
• Maintain an appropriate classroom environment. I understand that causing a disturbance (e.g., inappropriate behavior, disturbing other students) may result in being asked to leave the class, and such absences will not be eligible for make-up.
• Refrain from bringing any weapons, illegal drugs, controlled substances, or alcohol to school premises.
• Be aware that ISAD is not responsible for student check-ins and check-outs or for any items lost or damaged in the studio. I will be responsible for paying for any damaged items that need repair.
• Respect the property of the school and its members. I will take responsibility for any damages caused to school property.
• Follow all rules and regulations as outlined in ISAD’s student policies, and understand that failing to do so may result in disciplinary action, including termination of my I-20.

Students are required to work with their Academic Advisor to finalize their schedule at the beginning of each semester and follow the confirmed schedule. To maintain F-1 student status and compliance with the I-20 requirements, attendance is mandatory for all classes.

• Students who are more than 30 minutes late will be marked as "Late".
• Two instances of lateness will be counted as one absence.
• Students who leave early or arrive more than 1 hour late will be marked as ABSENT for that class.
• Attendance is recorded by the instructor, and these records are kept on file at the school.

Attendance will be taken twice during each 4-hour studio class:

• 30 minutes after the class begins
• 30 minutes before the class ends

ISAD (New York Art Studio) is pleased to accept all prospective students. At the start of enrollment, students will have a private counseling session, including an interview. During this session, the student’s previous artworks will be evaluated, and an individualized course of study will be designed to meet the student’s educational needs.

Students may switch classes or withdraw without penalty only if done two weeks prior to the start of the class. After this period, any changes or withdrawals may incur penalties or require special approval.

ISAD may grant a Leave of Absence (LOA) if the reason is deemed valid by the school’s officials. The following conditions apply:

• A written request for the leave must be submitted prior to taking the leave.
• Only one leave of absence will be granted per student within any 12-month period.

If a student misses a class due to a legitimate reason, the following policy applies:

• A make-up class can be arranged without penalty if it is completed within four weeks of the missed class date, as long as it is within the student’s registered session period.
• After this period, no make-up classes will be allowed unless an exception is granted by ISAD administration.
• Absences due to illness or a family emergency may be excused, and the student can be eligible for a make-up class.

ISAD is not responsible for artwork or any other personal property left at the school. The school has no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Any artwork left after the end of the quarter will be discarded.
